This month in our Little Dragon Pre-Skills program we will be working on the skill of: CONTROL. Children who have control show they have power over their bodies. They also show power over their emotions. If children are taught control at an early age, they will demonstrate better physical abilities and will feel better about the choices they make, which will lead to a healthier and more confident outlook on life.
You can help by fostering control at home. To help support the lessons we teach about control, try the following strategies:
• Play games which help them practice control of their body.
• Teach them about making good choices when it comes to their emotions.
• Teach them the importance of when they should have control of their power, such as playing with a smaller child or a pet.
• Play games which help them practice controlling their speed at different levels.
Thank you for your support and we look forward to watching our youthful students build the skill of CONTROL.
Sincerely, Master Instructor, Stacy Busby KSBN
