BFKarate class talks 9-4: LEADERSHIP

“BE SOMEBODY WHO MAKES EVERYBODY FEEL LIKE SOMEBODY.” -Kid President-

Volunteering and gaining experience in front of other people can help you become a great leader.

Volunteering has a wide range of benefits for those that participate in it. Volunteering teaches teamwork, responsibility and other very important life skills. You will develop empathy towards those in need, and it gives you the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds.

Volunteering in martial arts can include demonstrating in front of your group, helping lower belt rank students practice, and leading warmups.

By volunteering in your classes, you get experience being in front of your peers and teachers. You can learn to communicate better while taking on a leadership role. You will also become more patient, you will learn to be helpful, and you will learn to be there for people who need you, which are all great skills that leaders possess.
